I have traveled for work the majority of my life, but always find time on each trip to find the best local spots. I've visited 49/50 states and lived in 8 states, not to mention the temporary ones I call home for weeks on the road with work. I love a good road trip with the windows down and amazing music while finding the best local coffee shops and hikes. Sometimes even the quickest trip to a nearby town is enough to satisfy the travel bug. I am a massive foodie and will always seek out the best meals to have in each city I visit. A good meal can tell a lot about the culture and the town that you are in and often is what you remember most when you leave. No trip is too big or too small to plan. I love all types of adventure and can't want to help you plan yours! It's important to find locations that give the full experience to enjoy and make you feel happy to be there and that each trip is work it.

I like to visit off the tourist trail destinations, or if I do visit more popular destinations I like to do so as responsibly & sustainably as possible. I grew up in the Netherlands, lived in the UK for 16 years, and have lived in Marseille, France, for the last 4 years. Trip planning, is something I enjoy doing for myself, as well as for my family and friends, and is something I pride myself in. I mostly travel solo & once I get to my destination, I rely on public transport and overland travel as opposed to flying, where possible. Learning about the local culture & supporting local economies is important to me so I try and stay at either locally-owned guesthouses, homestays, or sustainable boutique hotels, and avoid big chain hotels or Airbnb. I also love looking for local vegan food wherever I go. I lived in Albania for over two years (Pogradec and Vlorë) and travelled extensively in Europe during that time. My travel is typically low budget, utilising public transit where possible and finding money-saving travel hacks. If you want to hit up the Hard Rock Cafe in Yerevan on a Thursday to watch a Filipino cover band play Nirvana, then I think you’ll like our style. We know we’re all strapped for time and it’s hard to really get to know a place in 7-10 days, but we are firm believers that it is possible. In our travels we try to seek out those places where you will catch a slice of local life.
