"The ocean is vast and wild, and when you are standing on Cape Point (also known as Cape of Good Hope because the sea there is known to be extremely dangerous) you really understand that. It’s incredibly humbling to stand on the southern most part of Africa and know that the next shore is Antarctica. Growing up I was fascinated with the story of the Flying Dutchman. For those who don’t know: “De Vliegende Hollander” is a legendary ghost ship that allegedly sunk near Cape Point. It has been haunting the Seas ever since."

"This is the southernmost point of Cape Peninsula. You take a tram to the base of the lighthouse and then you see a long stairway up. It would definitely be a workout, but if you decide to climb the steps after the ride, you get miles and miles of ocean views once you’re on top. If you decide to stay by the tram station though, it’s okay because the views are still amazing from there."
"This rugged stretch of coastline is a place of legends and unparalleled beauty. The Cape of Good Hope, once feared by sailors, is now a serene haven for wildlife like ostriches, baboons, and bontebok. A hike through the reserve reveals shipwrecks, secluded beaches, and panoramic views. It's where the power of the ocean meets the tranquility of untouched nature. "
