What people say

"What trip would it be without McDonald´s, right? However, this one has been described as the most beautiful McDonald´s in the world. Its interior is absolutely worth seeing! You will find the amazing art deco stained glass and chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. It looks really classy but the menu is the same as in every other McDonald´s in Portugal. There is another McDonald´s near Ribeira do Porto. It is also special because its building is all purple. I added the link below. TIP: Even McDonald´s can still surprise you! Remember that McDonald´s has its own specialities in every country. In Portugal you can order, for example, a coffee with the typical custard tarts - pastéis de nata. "

"The Imperial McDonald's, located in Porto, is widely recognised for its impressive architecture and unique design. With an exterior that combines elements of art deco and traditional Portuguese style, it is considered one of the most beautiful McDonald's in the world. In addition to offering the chain's popular dining options, the Imperial McDonald's provides visitors with a visually enchanting experience, standing out as an architectural landmark in the city of Porto. Whether it's to enjoy a meal or admire its unusual aesthetics, McDonald's Imperial is an interesting stop for admirers of architecture and the brand."

"Yes, McDonald's Imperial made the list, not necessarily for its culinary prowess, but for the historic building it is located in. Known as one of the most beautiful McDondald's in the world, it's worth stepping inside for a peek at it's beautiful stained glass and crystal chandeliers. Plus it's always fun to see different menu options at McDonald's around the world. This one serves soup and beer!"

Porto is my favorite city in Portugal (and quite possibly my favorite city in Europe). I've spent over 3 months here in the last two years, which has given me the unique opportunity to fully experience all Porto has to offer. But I also know what it's like to only have two or three days to try to see & do it all, and why I have created this guide for you. I've highlighted all the best spots, and added in some local favorites, to help you maximize your time in this incredibly vibrant city! Rather than have a rigid, scheduled checklist of places, I've tried to group locations together that would make sense if walking around the city. If you start the day where I've suggested, you'll have many options along the way from start to finish. Use the map icon to toggle between the guide and the map, or use the directions tab in each location description to link you to directly to Google maps. This guide includes: 🔹Suggested sites and activities for 3 days in Porto, thoughtfully & geographically grouped together to help maximize your time in the city. 🔹A mix of the "typical" spots to see, as well as some less-traveled places to add something different & unique to your experience. 🔹Tips and insights given are from my own personal experiences from spending over 3 months in this amazing city. This is not just a generic laundry list of an itinerary! And obviously you'll take lunch, wine (!!) and dinner breaks along the way. I didn't include restaurant options here, as I have an entire guide on just food! You will definitely want to check it out, so I'll link it below! ⬇️
