"The Gold Museum preserves archaeological collections that are a heritage and pride for all Colombians. If you go to Bogotá, you can't miss visiting this impressive museum. It features fascinating exhibitions, including a room that tells the story of El Dorado. The visiting hours are Tuesday to Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (last entry at 6:00 p.m.); Sundays and holidays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (last entry at 4:00 p.m.); closed on Mondays, including public holidays. The entrance fee is COP$13,000 from Tuesday to Saturday (includes audio guide). On Sundays, admission is free for everyone. 🍬Sweet tooth tip: If you're a fan of sweets, I recommend the Obleas stand right in front of the museum entrance."
"Amazing multi-floor museum with large exhibits of gold crafted items. The detail and creativity of the pieces is worth the visit to the museum. Cost: 4000 COP or free on Sundays! "
"The Museum of Gold is another free activity for ya. It chronicles the history of gold in Colombia. Fun fact: the gold is represented by the color yellow in the Colombian flag. "

We include a range of free to paid activities in each place, a variety of restaurant options and mid-range priced accommodations (mostly Airbnbs). It's based on our own travel style which we'd consider "medium budget" - we like to save money but are also willing to splurge on certain comforts and activities. We believe there is valuable information for any type of traveller though!
