Thomas Hill
"A traditional Roman pizzeria located in a working class district of Rome serving up some of the best pizza in town. Arota is situated in the Tor Pignattara district, a fair way out the centre but very easily accessible via public transport. The pizza is served Roman style, and the dough is one of the best I've had in Rome for sure. The menu includes all the classic toppings, with the addition of monthly specials based on seasonal produce. One of the monthly specials is a dessert pizza, a very interesting feature. They have a good list of wines by the bottle or glass and some great craft beers. Their fritti selection includes all the classics and some other innovative takes. The restaurant is a very spacious and simplistic space, with the pizza oven and benches located in an open kitchen bang in the middle. They only take bookings via phone. "

"Way outside of the center, this is one of my favorite pizzeria in the city. They serve thin crust pizza typical of Rome, in a cool but very simple and casual setting. Strong focus on ingredients and reservation is mandatory (they book up very fast) "
