Arguably the most popular ramen chain in Japan, there are several locations around Tokyo and other major cities like Osaka. It's a must when you arrive, but expect a wait! I would recommend going to the Shibuya location as it's open 24/7 and you can go during a less popular time to reduce the wait. 

Make sure to have cash, as thats the only way to pay when you get to the machines. You'll be handed a paper where you can customize your order, but they provide the recommended options in case you get too overwhelmed. 

This is perfect for people traveling solo because you get your own individual stall. 

Ichiran doesn't need presentation, the most famous ramen all over the world. This ramen chain serves some delicious tonkotsu ramen and has chains all over Japan in which you orden at a machine and are isolated while eating. Style: Tonkotsu Ramen.
