I have traveled Portugal for a month as a vegan/vegetarian and have been amazed by the quality and plethora of dining options available.

It is widely known that Lisbon, Portugal, is one of the top 5 most vegan friendly cities in the world; but beyond the capital city, there is an abundance of meat-free cuisine. 

Here is a guide to all of the best vegan and vegetarian spots to try across Portugal. The locations with reviews have been personally visited by me.

Situated in the heart of Lisbon, The Green Affair offers a creative vegan menu featuring dishes like jackfruit curry and quinoa salads. Known for its stylish decor and eco-friendly approach, it provides a modern and flavourful dining experience. Their focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients makes every meal both delicious and sustainable.

($$) Hands down my favorite for a nice lunch, this spot is comfortable and spacious with relaxing decor and amazing food. With locations across Lisbon, this restaurant is one of my favorites for vegan and vegetarian food. They also have an amazing selection of wines to pair with your meal.

100% Veggie restaurant with sooooo much to chose from. Try the Take Covert with vegan cream cheese and then move on to the tagliatelle alla carbonara and finish with the mango "cheese"cake. Two Locations in Lisbon.

This was one of the best vegan restaurant I've ever tried in my life. The dished were above the expectations, totally worth it. 

I'm a big fan of The Green Affair. A nice variety of veg burgers. The Cauli Katsu is a highlight, as is their buddha bowl.
