Good Grub: Vegetarian Lisbon

Portuguese cuisine isn't really known for being "vegetable forward" but Lisbon is really turning out some great vegetarian eats. From veg takes on traditional fare to Michelin starred gourmet, the veg scene in Lisbon is pretty great.

O Botanista/ Orteá Vegan Collective

Really great plant based meals, and the juices are on point. Planty green vibes make this a cozy lunch spot or a great place to work from. There's an outdoor patio and it's very instagrammable.

The Green Affair - Chiado
@amyposey
I'm a big fan of The Green Affair. A nice variety of veg burgers. The Cauli Katsu is a highlight, as is their buddha bowl.

A place to get a veg take on traditional very meaty Portuguese dishes like Francesinha. The staff is friendly and the food is fresh.

A Padaria Portuguesa
@amyposey
A bakery chain offering vegetarian options and good breakfasts. Decent pastries. I had the avo toast and they have a sweet version of the savory offering which is interesting and different.
