What people say

"This is a very stylish rooftop bar. People really dress up here. I tell you this so you don't feel underdressed and underprepared. You won't be let in with activewear. The views are stunning. Especially when the sun sets behind the Obelisco in the distance. But expect to queue to take photos because so many people want to capture that perfect Instagram moment. You absolutely need to have reservations, and don't be late to them! The threshold before they cancel your reservation is 15 minutes. But even if you're a few minutes late, you will may lose your chance at a good table. Therefore, I strongly suggest arriving exactly at your reservation time. There is usually a short line at the entrance to the building where you will get checked in. Making reservations is very easy: https://trade-sky-bar.meitre.com/ You'll see two reservation times: After and Dinner. After means 'after office,' so the hours are from 6-8pm. Dinner reservations begin at 8pm and go later. You need to leave a credit card for the reservation, but they will not charge you unless you do not show up. In the center of the rooftop there is a platform with about 8 small tables for reservations of 2 people. It gets a bit chilly up here once the sun goes down. Around the perimeter of the rooftop are tables for larger groups. Try to make your reservation a few days in advance, more if its a busy tourist season (January/February). When you enter the building, there is a woman who will ask for the name of the reservation. If you're right one time, she will probably be outside as the line forms. She will then lead you to the elevators and send you up to the 19th floor. There you will be greeted by another woman who asks the name for the reservation and sends you up the stairs to the 21st floor. Once you enter the rooftop, the hostess will again ask for the reservation name and lead you to your seat. The restaurant is on the pricier side, as it's a 'cheto' bar with 'cheto' prices. They do charge a 300 peso/person 'cubierto' fee. The food is very delicious though. We made a reservation for a Friday night at 6:30. The sunset was amazing. We ordered: Ceviche aperol spritz x 2 Negroni We paid about 7000 pesos. Another time I went we ordered: Glass of Malbec Orange Juice French Fries with Alioli sauce Stracciatella with tomatoes Thai Mushrooms on a satay stick Vegan Sushi A Pear dessert The total was 17,050 pesos (in October 2022) All the food I've had here is absolutely delicious. "A more modern approach to a rooftop bar, Trade offers striking vistas of the surrounding neighborhoods and the city skyline. An early evening drink on the terrace is the perfect opportunity to enjoy sunset and mingle with friends. "

Mentioned in these guides

I have been living in Argentina for the past year (plus 5 months in Buenos Aires back in 2005). This is one of my favorite cities in the entire world, and I want to share with you what makes it so great. This 10 day itinerary begins on a Friday morning, and is arranged according to market schedules, or other events in the city that fall on particular days. But you can certainly do the activities out of order, and fit them to your schedule as needed. I have planned this 10-day itinerary to allow you to maximize your days, and hours in this amazing city, but still allow you to enjoy the small moments without feeling overwhelmed, and get rest when needed. I have spent around 100 hours researching, writing descriptions to give detailed information of every place mentioned in this itinerary, visiting and testing out each day; they are all genuine recommendations. I have carefully planned out and timed each activity, including transportation and time moving between sites. I have also linked related articles and videos from my blog and YouTube channel. This itinerary will provide you not only with daily activities, but information on how to get the best exchange rate, how to stay safe, and information for transportation- how to get from spot to spot, so you can put as little time into planning as possible. Let me do that for you! :) This is not the ideal itinerary for those seeking the nightlife and parties. It is full of morning, daytime, and evening activities (with a few optional activities that go into the night) to help you get to know the culture of Buenos Aires and Argentina. It does not include nightclubs. This is a great itinerary if you are coming to Buenos Aires for the first time and you want to see all the important places, along with a few extra gems. This can also serve if you live in the city but have friends and family coming to visit. I've got it all planned out for you! I have included a lot of walking in this itinerary, though I have attempted to concentrate each day in one particular area of the city whenever possible. However, the city is full of transportation options if you prefer less steps due to accessability issues, or fatigue. I strongly suggest reading through the entire itinerary at the beginning of the week in case there are places where you need to make a reservation. If so, it will be listed at the top of each day.
