Restaurants
Most famously, Buenos Aires is known for steak houses but there's also a huge variety of restaurants available for all budgets and tastes. Below are my recommendations:
Parillas & Argentine Food
Some Argentine dishes to try are asado, locro, milanesa, empanadas, and dulce de leche.
1810 Cocina Regional
@carolinerosetravel
If you're looking for comfort food, this is the place. A lot of people when the come to Argentina focus on trying steak only, but one of my favorite Argentine dishes is locro, a pork or beef stew that feels so homey. Here at 1810 they do it very well and they also have a large selection of empanadas; I suggest the Picante, Tucumana, and Humita.
1810 is also reasonably priced, which means save room for dessert. And they have a lot!

Parrilla La Brigada
@carolinerosetravel
This is my preferred steak house! La Brigada is a very traditional parrilla that has been serving guests for decades. Their steaks are tender and delicious, and the portions are generous.
Overall La Brigada feels like a more old-fashioned, traditional experience and they flaunt it! The walls are adorned with vintage photographs and there's futbol collectibles everywhere. It's a must visit in my opinion!

La Cabrera
@carolinerosetravel
With over 17,000 reviews on Google, La Cabrera boasts of delicious steak and many cut options served with an array of sauces. For someone on a mission to try the most highly rated steak houses in Buenos Aires, add this to your list!
If you dine before 8 PM, they offer a happy hour with 40% off your bill. This though combined with the fact that it's popular amongst tourists and locals means it gets busy! I recommend arriving early or making a reservation for regular dining hours.

Don Julio
@carolinerosetravel
When it comes to steak houses in Buenos Aires, Don Julio is a name that often pops up in conversation. It's been named one of the best steak houses in many publications which explains the constant crowd here.
Surely, you will have an amazing experience at Don Julio which is highly praised for it's tradition method of cooking juicy steaks. Their renowned entraña and vacío are particularly popular choices.
I have to admit though, I never dined here because I was turned off from popularity (when I'm hungry I don't want to wait!) and locals opinions seem to think it may be a bit overhyped.
Nevertheless, I added it to this list for you to go and see for yourself. Is it really the best steak in Buenos Aires? You decide!
