"As a guest at The Nautilus, I was blown away by the stunning natural surroundings of the Baa atoll UNESCO biosphere reserve, near Hanifaru Bay. The resort itself is privately-owned, and its exclusivity and attention to detail is evident throughout my stay.
I stayed in one of the 26 houses on the island, which was essentially a suite with separate living and bedrooms. The personal butler and private pool were a definite highlight for me, as was the incredible ocean view from my room. The amenities were luxurious, with free wifi, complimentary water, tea, coffee and soft drinks, a bottle of champagne on arrival, and an evening gourmet turn down service.
My room was equipped with two flat screen satellite TVs, on-demand movies, air-conditioned bathroom, toiletries, free-standing bathtub, separate walk-in shower, air conditioning and ceiling fan. I appreciated that the mini-bar and wine fridge could be stocked with my own choices.
There were plenty of activities available at no extra charge, such as non-motorised water sports like windsurfing, canoeing, catamaran sailing and snorkeling. For light bites during the day, I loved heading over to the poolside Deli. And when I wanted to unwind and relax, I took advantage of the full-service over-water spa, which was simply breathtaking.
The resort also had three restaurants and two bars, which offered plenty of options for dining and drinking. I enjoyed trying out the various options, and I found the food to be of a consistently high quality. There was also an outdoor infinity pool, a library, a fitness centre, complimentary yoga, and a kids’ club, which made it easy to stay active and entertained throughout my stay. And of course, Wifi was available throughout the resort, which was a nice touch. Overall, my stay at The Nautilus was truly unforgettable."
