"Alba is one of the main cities in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Vineyard Landscape of Piedmont: Langhe-Roero and Monferrato. The town is famous for its white truffle (also heaps of black) wine production of the king of Italian wine Barolo (Barbaresco and Nebbiolo as well as lesser-known varietals like Nacetta a white varietal I LOVE) and delicious hazelnuts just to name a few, so it has a bit going on and a heap of reasons to visit. Honestly is so beautiful you will not want to leave, it is only 40 mins from Turin and 2 hours from Milan and about the same as Bologna (another incredible northern Italian city) so its basically the centre of Italy.
