What people say

"Although the beer garden at the Chinese Tower is by no means a hidden gem, (it‘s featured on every 'Munich Must Do' list) I still highly recommend stopping by to grab a beer. It‘s conveniently located in the Englischer Garten, which you will probably already be visiting, and also still draws a local crowd. Although I‘ve seen my fair share of tourists here, I‘m always shocked by how many German speakers frequent the Chinese Tower. Fun fact:the bathroom here is free and clean, so if you are taking a long walk through the garden, this might be your only chance. Bonus: The beer garden also features one of the best Munich Christmas markets in Munich. Rather than playing it safe, with the standard Christmas market format, the Chinese Tower Christmas Market has opted for a Christmas Village atmosphere, with child friendly an Opa‘s workshop, Oma‘s story hour, curling rink, and vintage carousel. The Christmas market is truly beloved by all ages both visiting and living in Munich."
"Another massive garden serves large, hearty dishes. It is slightly more expensive than others but its location under the Chinesischer Turm landmark helps make it one of the best."
