Christopher Shontz
"We didn't spend too much time here, but it's a lovely, well cared for state park with day use areas, walking trails, and beach access with lifeguards and pavillions. There is a very reasonable daily entrance fee. We parked at the end of the penninsula, near Meigs Point and spent a little time hanging out on the beach. Beaches are relatively small and the sand is coarse. There are a lot of beachgoers here, even toward the end of the day on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Shannon and I hung out on the rocks at the end of the beach as the sun began to set in the sky. It was a lovely place to sit by the sea, or go for a swim, but don't expect too much privacy in peak season."
