"The restaurant has been serving traditional Roman cuisine since 1890 and is particularly famous for its signature dish, filetti di baccalà, or fried salt cod fillets. The restaurant is named after the nearby church of Santa Barbara and has a charming, rustic atmosphere with wooden tables and chairs, and walls covered in old photographs, paintings, and other memorabilia. It has been a favorite of locals and tourists alike for generations, attracting everyone from working-class Romans to famous actors and politicians. In addition to the famous filetti di baccalà, the menu at Dar Filettaro a Santa Barbara also features other classic Roman dishes such as spaghetti alla carbonara, saltimbocca alla romana, and trippa alla romana. The restaurant is also known for its house wine, served in ceramic jugs. Visiting Dar Filettaro a Santa Barbara is a unique and authentic culinary experience that captures the essence of Rome's rich cultural and culinary heritage."

"Only open in the evenings, this small hole in the wall ‘restaurant’ specialises in Baccalà (cod). Their filetto di Baccalà is a delicious piece of cod, battered and fried to perfection. You can also order a puntarelle salad if in season (usually the colder months of the year), and the rest of the year you can have a gallinella (another variety of lettuce) with the same anchovy dressing as the classic puntarelle salad. Draft wine and beer available. Your an either ask to be seated or walk straight up to the kitchen and have them wrap up a piece of cod for you to take away"

"One of Rome's most iconic spots serving filletti di baccala all night long. Dar Filettaro a Santa Barbara is a small restaurant located just around the corner from Campo de' Fiori. The menu is very limited, with starters, salads and fried goods being served. In terms of street food, they serve filetti di baccala, being beer battered salt cod fillets. They serve these all night long, and you can just walk up to the door and order, and within minutes you will have some of Rome's best baccala."
