Livio Colapinto
"This is an authentic 🐠 fish restaurant located inside the local Ortigia historic market area. La Lisca has a long history that started at the beginning of the 20th century as a branch-off for the family that was running a fish stall here!
Not a fancy restaurant with white tablecloth but a cozy, heartwarming restaurant - run by hospitable chef Francesco and his stuff - very seafaring and, of course, starring fish cuisine. The menu is extensive and majors on fish and seafood, everything is fresh and homemade somehow moving away from the traditional Sicilian dishes. Superb carpaccio, which varies every day according to the arrivals of the fishermen. Amberjack carpaccio is a must when available. Seafood caponata, Paccheri cacio e pepe with ink, and Monkfish Ossobuco are memorable.
Booking before is recommended but they will try to find you a table if you just pop up. "
