"Very cute coffee shop near the Seine with a front room and a back room. Order at the front counter, then take your ticket to the back counter and hand it to the barista and wait for your drink.
They serve limited food here (more than just pastries) and it's quite good!
Historically, this cafe has had a *very* tenuous relationship with people working on laptops here so their policy changes fairly frequently. As of Dec 2023, laptops are once again NOT allowed.
Staff can be a little cranky at times but coffee and ambiance are great.

"La Caféothèque gets credit for being the very first specialty coffee shop not just in Paris but in all of France. However, despite its pioneer status, this cafe is as relevant today as ever.
💡Spend a morning learning the basics of ‘Coffeeology’ during a 2-hour coffee tasting workshop. You can get more details and book a workshop."

"Co-working space
Cozy coffeeshop to relax with an espresso drink
The ordering system is odd: you pay in one place and then wait and get your coffee made two rooms away
