"The pub has a history dating back to the late 18th century and was originally known as the “Church-on-the-Hill”. During the 1800s, Winston Churchill’s Grandparents were regular visitors which eventually led to the naming of the pub after World War 2 – in honour of Churchills grandchild, the wartime Prime Minister from 1940-1945 (and again from 1951-1955) Winston Churchill. One of the most striking features of the Churchill Arms is its exterior, which is decorated with flowers and greenery. "
"This iconic and surprisingly cozy pub, is a must see on your tour through London! Built in 1750, the pub was frequented by Churchill’s grandparents and is known for serving real ales and authentic Thai cuisine (one of my favourite cuisines). Just outside of the Northwest corner of Hyde Park, this stunningly decorated pub is one of London’s most recognizable and famous watering holes. Be sure to take in all the memorabilia that line the interior walls of the pub!"

An extra-full guide on where to wine&dine in central London and beyond (no matter the 💷: from low budgets to gold/platinum card holders 😄). And the list is big because…this is the most exhilarating city I have ever visited! I bet you will find your favorites among mine! London is heaven for foodies simply because it has something for everyone…you just have to know where to go and what to look after! Going further than the traditional British meals or beverages, one could taste various cuisines from all over the world: India, China, Japan, Italy, Spain, etc. I have included several places with such different menus. 💡Tip! Be advised that many restaurants offer tasting menus or happy hours so you have to check their websites or FB/IG accounts to find out how you could easily afford a great culinary experience. Highlights: 🫖 English breakfast tea - it is actually a blend of various kinds of black tea; is meant to be had with milk and sugar although it can be served without either. 🥓 Full English Breakfast - this usually includes: bacon, sausages, eggs, baked beans, toast, mushrooms, tomatoes, hash browns and black puddings. 🥧 British Pies - from fish to cheese and onion to minced beef or steak, savory pies are a British tradition that’s been around for centuries. By far, some of the most popular pies are the Shepherd’s Pie/Cottage Pie and the British Mushroom and Chicken Pie. 🐟 Fish & chips - this dish is a must try whilst you are in the UK; no matter where you are, you’ll be able to find a delicious plate of fish and chips (look out for anything called Chippy - they are the best).
