What people say

Marlena Ruthe
"One of the largest puffin colonies live here. To reach the islands you will need to take a ferry from the mainland. During the summer months the ferry leaves from Landeyjahöfn, a harbor located along the south of Iceland and is an hour and 45-minute drive from Reykjavik. The ferry ride over is a little over 30 minutes one way."
"In the harbor of Heimaey, you will be able to climb to the top. You will find ropes and ladders to help you go up. Just be careful. Even if you don't arrive to the top, the views are amazing, just stop and enjoy the sundown. Before you go back to the ferry, Have a beer in the restaurant Slippurinn "

"This is a very sketchy climb on a rope in very steep sandy conditions. Not for the faint of heart, but very worth. I go more into depth about the approach in my blog post below :)"
