Tjørnuvík
What people say
Nally Preseault
"Tjørnuvík is the northernmost town on the island of Streymoy and getting there is not for the faint of heart. A dead-end, single-lane, three-mile road leads into this tiny village (population less than 70). New traffic lights make the journey a bit less harrowing, though the narrow road still hugs the steep cliffs the whole way down. A black-sand beach, great surfing, a small church, and a single cafe await the adventurous. "

"This village is known for its black sand beach and the impressive view of the sea stacks Risin og Kellingin from the shore."
