Royal Palace of Brussels

This magnificent palace is a pleasure to view from the outside, but if you are lucky enough to be visiting from the end of July to the end of August, you may be able to book a free visit inside. Unfortunately, due to renovation works, I was not able to take advantage of this opportunity. 

Price: Exterior Free, Inside Free when applicable

Belgian royalty still calls this palace home! The front is relatively recent, built in 1900, but the land has been home to a palace complex since the Middle Ages. 

It's only open to visitors late July - September, but it's worth a walk by if you're in the neighborhood. 

Since 1965, the Royal Palace of Brussels has been open to the public from 21 July (Belgian National Day) until the beginning of September. Visiting hours are Tuesday to Sunday from 10.30am to 5pm. Pets are not allowed.

Take a stroll through Brussels Park, and if it's the right time of year, you might get to visit the Royal Palace when it's open to the public (usually in the summer)
