"This is definitely not an easy hike but the views are worth it. Hike over 2,000 steps in less than a mile to see an amazing view of the sunrise, Manitou and Colorado Springs, and/or Garden of the Gods. Be sure to bring extra water and snacks for this one. It gets really hot in the summer so try to avoid midday trips during that season. DONT TAKE THE STAIRS DOWN, ITS MUCH SAFER TO TAKE THE BARR TRAIL!!!"
Katelynn Bissell
"If it is snowy, I recommend spikes for your shoes/boots There is also a 3.5 mile hike back down the mountain as it is preferred if you make it to the summit. If you can not make it up the mountain you can cautiously turn around and go down. Be mindful of other inline goers!"

"This is a climb to be taken very seriously. It's a lot of stairs and shouldn't be planned on a whim. Please make the necessary preparations before attempting to climb these stairs. Especially for travelers who aren't used to the elevation difference."
