Vienna, Austria | A Trendy Guide

🎀🎄Let's take a look at Christmas time in Vienna! 🎀🎄

 This trip has different meaning for me since it is my very first solo travel.


--- Quick notes ---

--> I travelled from Budapest to Vienna by Regiojet train. The train leaves from Kelenföld station and is easily accessible by metro. However, I recommend going early as the train platform information is displayed on the screens 20 minutes before the journey.

--> It is necessary to activate single-use tickets. An important detail!

--> I almost paid everything with credit card. 

--> Walking route🚶‍➡️: Votivkirche-Vienna University-Rathaus-Parliament-Maria Theresien Platz-Burggarten-Albertina-Oper-Karlsplatz

Rockin' Around Vienna  💫

Maria-Theresien-Platz

A small market along the square filled with stalls selling unique Christmas souvenirs, decorations and glühwein. The most stunning location with views of the Museum of Modern Arts standing impressively behind the market located in former imperial stables and the monumental Natural History Museum opposite.   

This year the market will run from November 15th to December 26th with these opening times:
Sundays - Thursdays 11am - 9pm
Friday & Saturday 11am - 10pm
December 24th closes 4pm

Probably the most accessible Christmas Market, it is situated between the two biggest museums in Vienna. Had a variety of food and drinks, so I recommend it!

For some reason, it's my favorite. It's in a very central location, between two museums. I think it felt the most welcoming to me.
