🎀🎄Let's take a look at Christmas time in Vienna! 🎀🎄
This trip has different meaning for me since it is my very first solo travel.
--- Quick notes ---
--> I travelled from Budapest to Vienna by Regiojet train. The train leaves from Kelenföld station and is easily accessible by metro. However, I recommend going early as the train platform information is displayed on the screens 20 minutes before the journey.
--> It is necessary to activate single-use tickets. An important detail!
--> I almost paid everything with credit card.

The ones with the hotels

Motel One
@caglavelioglu
Motel One is one of my favorite hotel chains in Europe. Because their breakfast is good! Their rooms are usually small but adequate. The location is actually very central because it is next to the train station, but of course there are strange people around when you stay too late.

PAM "micro roastery - artisan croisserie - breakfast"

I think the owners are Turkish. Their coffee and desserts are very good. It is a cute bakery. It can also be preferred for a quick breakfast.

Drechsler Wienzeile

It is difficult to find a place without a reservation. Their breakfast is very good. I also liked their coffee. I definitely recommend having breakfast here one day. In addition, it has a very warm atmosphere.

The ones with the museums/places & christmas markets 🎄🎀🎡

Rathausplatz
@caglavelioglu
The view from the Rathaus is impressive. There is also an ice rink and a Ferris wheel here.

Maria-Theresien-Platz
@caglavelioglu
For some reason, it's my favorite. It's in a very central location, between two museums. I think it felt the most welcoming to me.

Schönbrunn Palace
@caglavelioglu
I think it's the biggest one. The way to go is a bit surprising, at one point I thought I was on the wrong path, but keep going, you'll reach the crowd.

Belvedere Palace
@caglavelioglu
There are palaces everywhere in Vienna, so of course I couldn't go into all of them in my limited time. I don't know the inside, but I couldn't say that the Christmas market is definitely a must-see.

Karlsplatz
@caglavelioglu
There was also a small farm environment. Families with children may prefer the Christmas market here.

It's a bit chaotic inside. You don't need to eat anything. You can just have a quick drink to see the beautiful building.

The ones with the cocktails
I didn't have much time for cocktails this vacation because I was constantly drinking glühwine at Christmas markets, but I'm sharing a few places that are on my list.

Figlmüller Bäckerstraße
@caglavelioglu
Figlmüller is famous, as you know. Reservations are absolutely necessary. There are always a lot of people in line. When you have a reservation, you have the chance to get in by pushing through the crowd in a cool way, don't miss it. The prices are a bit expensive, but it's really delicious. Since it was my first time, I tried it of course.

I heard that their hamburgers were famous. I went to try it. Although I didn't say wow, I can say that it was pretty good. Since the place is a bit out of the center, it might not be the first choice.
