What people say

"The splendid building of the former Convent of La Merced Calzada, of which we can still see the original façade, is an excellent antechamber from which to admire the treasures housed inside the museum. The Seville Museum of Fine Arts has 14 rooms arranged chronologically that offer a journey through the country's artistic history, including both paintings and sculptures from all over Spain, especially Seville. It is no surprise that the collections are particularly notable for the religious works from the Baroque period, since a large part of the works come from ecclesiastical disembowelment. Among the most notable artists on display are Zurbarán, Goya, El Greco and Juan de Valdés Leal, although, without a doubt, the main star of the museum is Murillo, to whom large areas are dedicated and even temporary exhibitions are held dedicated to his work."
"The museum houses a collection of works by Spanish artists, most of which are religious paintings and sculptures. I enjoyed spending time in the Seville Museum of Fine Arts admiring the collections there because it was on my schedule. The employee asked me where I was from while I was paying, and I replied that I was from the Philippines. The identical question was posed to me by another member of staff, who struggled to find words in Tagalog, leaving me confused as to what he was about to say!"
"Stunning Spanish Medieval and Renaissance artworks in a repurposed convent with courtyards separating the galleries"
