"This bar does modern tapas and pintxos (Basque-style tapas where delicious things are served on bread). It’s well known, and gets very very busy. You’ll have the best luck hitting the bar, and will likely have to wait for a table. Lots of people swear by it, and it is popular with tourists, but, I’ve always found the bar staff a little too cool for school, and not very warm. But as I say, the food is very good, and the wine selection as well. They’re especially famous for their pincho de tortilla, which is served on a piece of bread and – is in fact damn good."

"This is one of my absolute favourite places to eat in Madrid. They have the best tortilla I have ever had and all the dishes are a wonderful take on modern Spanish food. It's a great place to go with friends and share everything. It is small restaurant so I would make a reservation ahead of time (like before you come to Madrid). Otherwise, get there 20 mins before they open for either lunch or dinner and wait in line and to sit at the bar. It's lively, fun with fantastic food and you can't go wrong here! "
