What people say

" Designed by the renowned architect Antoni Gaudí and completed in 1912, it is considered one of his most iconic works. La Pedrera is characterized by its undulating stone façade, wrought-iron balconies, and rooftop sculptures that resemble surreal warriors. The building's interior features innovative design elements, including curved walls and an open courtyard that allows natural light to flood the apartments. Today, La Pedrera is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and serves as a cultural center and museum. It offers visitors a glimpse into Gaudí's creative genius and the architectural innovations of the modernist movement. The rooftop terrace, with its remarkable chimneys and panoramic views of Barcelona, is a particular highlight."

"Casa Milà, commonly known as La Pedrera, is one of Antoni Gaudí's most celebrated works and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Completed in 1912, its undulating stone facade and wrought-iron balconies evoke the natural forms that inspired much of Gaudí’s work. Inside, the design is equally impressive, with open courtyards, organic shapes, and innovative architectural features like its self-supporting stone structure. The highlight of any visit is the rooftop terrace, where whimsical chimneys resembling abstract sculptures offer stunning views over Barcelona. Don’t miss the Espai Gaudí museum located in the attic, which provides fascinating insight into Gaudí’s creative process and architectural vision."

"Another masterpiece created by Gaudi which was his last private residence project! It was built between 1906 and 1912 and it was commissioned by the Milà Family. The Milàs wanted a new house with the idea of living in the main floor and renting out the rest of the apartments. The pre-existing building was demolished and the new building was built. The name “La Pedrera” (the stone quarry) is in fact a nickname assigned by the citizens who disapproved of its unusualness. The building has a spectacular terrace on the roof and fun fact, the chimneys are said to have inspired George Lucas in the creation of Darth Vader and the Storm Troopers in Star Wars!"
