"💎 Faxafoss is another hidden gem waterfall that few tourist visit and worth a slight detour off the traditional Golden Circle route.
📍LOCATION: There is a parking lot on Road 35. 15 minute drive from Efstidular II.
💦 While Faxafoss might not be as powerful as its massive neighbour Gullfoss, this wide curtain waterfall is worth a visit.
🚶Its an easy walk from the parking lot to view Faxafoss from above. Or you can take the pathway down and get a closer look.
💰If you’re trying to save money, its okay to skip Faxafoss and head onto the Kerid Crater.
🙂 But its a tranquil spot without many tourists to pause and take in another beautiful waterfall.
⏰ HOURS:
The waterfall is on private property. Opening hours vary by season. But the gates will be open if you visit it in the early afternoon.
💰 Cost: 900 IKR per car to park. "
