"Levain is one of the most well-known bakeries and cookie shops in NYC and it deserves it's reputation. These 6 oz. cookies do not disappoint. Levain has multiple locations throughout Manhattan, but if you want to visit the original location, head to the 74th street location. There is no seating here and often a line out the door because of the shops miniature size! WHAT TO ORDER: To be honest, you can't go wrong with any of the staples: - Chocolate chip walnut - Two chip chocolate chip - Dark chocolate peanut butter chip (favorite of ours) - Oatmeal raisin (favorite of ours) - Dark chocolate chocolate chip Levain has started to offer a seasonal cookie, which are good in their own right, but the classic selection above are home runs every time, no question. INSIDER TIP: The name of the bakery is often mispronounced for how it's spelled, but is actually pronounced "Luh-ven". We're stuck in our ways over here though and can't see us changing our pronunciation any time soon! "

"Crispy, chewy and melt in the middle can only be words to describe one of the most beloved cookies in all of New York, from the iconic NYC bakery - Levain. Their 6-ounce gooey cookies took The Big Apple by storm and the bakery has since become a New York institution. Freshly baked each day, their signature flavour is the Chocolate Chip Walnut, which is absolutely huge and extremely delicious! They now have various outposts across the city but you will find their original bakery located on West 74th Street making it great to tie in with a visit to Central Park and the Museum of Natural History."

"This is the kind of place you see on IG where they rip the cookie in half and you think...."wow, I wish that was gluten free". Well, today is how many years old you are when you find out that Levain has a gluten free (and dairy free) cookie! It tastes delicious and looks like the real deal. They are generally pretty good about these with safety, but they are not made in an entirely celiac friendly bakery. "
