"Award-winning winery, in Montepulciano since 1997. "Salcheto is the name of the stream which springs at the foot of the town of Montepulciano and winds through a valley where willows abounded. This stream is the boundary of Salcheto Winehouse's organic and biodynamic estate, rooted in the historic district of Vino Nobile, in the southeast of the Siena province. The willow tree, a species that they continue to replant, also contributes to the winery’s energy independence, and is today prominently represented in their logo as part of their commitment to environmental sustainability. The kitchen of the Enoteca serves daily light lunches based mainly on their own garden’s vegetables.
