Salcheto Winehouse
@MementoMartina
Award-winning winery, in Montepulciano since 1997.
"Salcheto is the name of the stream which springs at the foot of the town of Montepulciano and winds through a valley where willows abounded. This stream is the boundary of Salcheto Winehouse's organic and biodynamic estate, rooted in the historic district of Vino Nobile, in the southeast of the Siena province. The willow tree, a species that they continue to replant, also contributes to the wineryโs energy independence, and is today prominently represented in their logo as part of their commitment to environmental sustainability.
The kitchen of the Enoteca serves daily light lunches based mainly on their own gardenโs vegetables. The scenery is magnificent, both in the dining room or from the terrace overlooking the town of Montepulciano."
Visits and Enoteca are open everyday from 10am until 7pm (including holidays).

Bindella
@MementoMartina
Show-stopping, celebrated Montepulciano winery. Recently featured in the UK Times, Wine News and Agrodolce.it.
Tenuta Vallocaia was launched in the 1980s by Swiss food and wine entrepreneur Rudi Bindella.
Vallocaia's Cucina di Vallocaia offers authentic traditional Tuscan dishes - most of the produce comes from the estate's vegetable garden - prepared by chef Luca Biancucci and served with Sangiovese, the appellation's main grape variety.
In the wine shop you can taste and buy all the wines from the cellar and a selection of products from the short supply chain such as pasta, cookies, sauces and preserves, jams, honey and truffles, all strictly Made in Tuscany."

Cantina Boscarelli
@MementoMartina
"The story began in 1962 with local founder Egidio Corradiโs dream of producing a noble wine that exalts the aromas and flavors of his native land while imparting the elegance he loved.
The original spirit of the estate has now passed to the third generation of the family. Each day Luca and Nicolรฒ De Ferrari bring that same passion to wine production as they work to infuse each bottle with the aromas and flavors that Grandpa Egidio loved and searched for. Luca and Nicolรฒ reselect and replant vineyards that continue to express the scents and range of characteristics of the incredible land that nurtures them."

Cantina Contucci
@MementoMartina
"The Contucci family were cultivating grapes as far back as the Renaissance. In fact they were one of the "founding fathers" of Vino Nobile, as is documented in 1773; having a major role in making it world famous: "a noble wine destined for the table of nobles".
By the 1800s the fame of their wine was demonstrated by numerous medals and testimonials. The building of the Contucci cellars took place before the building of the mansion of the same name, which was once inhabited by Pope Giulio III and the by the Grand Duke Ferdinand I. The mansion was built by Antonio Sangallo the older and painted internally with affrescoes by Andrea Pozzo. They were part of the old inner walls of Montepulciano.
Visits and tastings are available all week-days and holidays (11.00 a.m.- 6.00 p.m., car-parking "Fortezza", the bus can load and unload people to "Porta Farina" at 200 metres distance).
To make a booking call +390578757006 or email innfo@contucci.it"
