What people say

"If you ever find yourself near the city of Knin, just 5 kilometres away try to reach this beautiful waterfall as it is special because with this waterfall ends river Krčić and it falls into the source of Krka river. During summer this waterfall dries up (May to November) but during rain time and winter it has its full power. Also, frozen waterfall is such a sight! Near the waterfalls is a beautiful pedestrian walkway, just be careful on the bridge beneath the waterfall as there could be a lot of water splashing during rain times. Above the waterfall is a "Napoleon road" which leads further to the little villages, main road and later on the source of Cetina river. Good for MTB bikes but very experienced drivers. Beware as there could be cars on the streets. Also prepare for strong wind "bura" in these areas and bring suitable clothes. For those who like long walks, walking to the source of river Krčić is a good idea as there are green meadows perfect for picnic and chill. Water is drinkable. It would take you about less than 3 hours in one direction. "
"Slap Krčić, often referred to as Topoljski buk or Veliki slap (Big Waterfall), is a captivating natural wonder located near the town of Knin in Croatia. This 22-meter high waterfall is where the Krčić River dramatically plunges into the Krka River, creating a stunning spectacle. While the waterfall is most impressive during the autumn and winter months when rainfall is abundant, it's a unique experience to visit in the summer when the water flow diminishes, revealing the waterfall's hidden beauty. The exposed rock formations and crystal-clear pools at the base offer a serene and picturesque setting. A visit to Slap Krčić is a must for nature lovers and those seeking a tranquil escape from the bustling city life. Its proximity to Knin Fortress makes it a perfect addition to a day trip exploring the region's rich history and natural beauty."
