"Located in the heart of Madrid’s historic La Latina neighborhood, Posada de la Villa is a charming 17th-century inn-turned-restaurant, offering a traditional Castilian dining experience. Known for its warm and rustic atmosphere, the restaurant specializes in slow-roasted meats cooked in a wood-fired oven, with the cordero asado (roast lamb) being a standout dish. The menu also features hearty stews, fresh seafood, and local favorites like morcilla (blood sausage) and judiones (large white beans). With a focus on preserving Madrid’s culinary traditions."

"This gorgeous old Posada (inn) was restored in the 1980s. It’s my favourite roasting restaurant in the city (both suckling pig and lamb are excellent), but the bar downstairs is also great for a glass of wine amidst some serious ye olde Madrid decor. Make sure you check out the big old brick oven just inside the doors, where you can see the chef wood roasting the meat. I also got cosy in this video Posada de la Villa to eat lamb (my God it was good) and drink three bottles of Ribera del Duero."
