"Known as “La Citta Bianca”, Ostuni is a picturesque whitewashed town perched on a hilltop. Wander through the historic center, making sure to stop by the cathedral. The cathedral and archeological museums are a great way to pass time for history and culture lovers and if you have a car, the beach is easily reachable… if you do not have a car, walk towards the shuttle bus station and pray. Two seaside locations that were suggested were Villanova, Lullabay Lido and Camerini. The vintage market is held the second Sunday of the month on Viale Oronzo Quaranta."
"The White City of Puglia. It was built in a labyrinth in order to confuse invaders when trying to take the city. Houses were painted white as a way to ward off the plague. Locals noticed houses painted with a white limestone mix tended to get less sick, so then they started painting everywhere with i this mix. There is some truth to it as it was an antibacterial mixture!"

"Step into the Centro Storico and surrender to getting lost in the labyrinthine maze of alleyways and squares; where staircases lead to yet another winding laneway, and there is something beautiful around every corner. A photographer's dream, the houses appear to gleam in the sunshine, with brightly painted shutters and hanging baskets everywhere. "
