"You have to go to this park to visit the Parthenon. It's a 2x scale Parthenon built after the one in Greece. It was built for a Worlds Fair. There's a small art museum inside of the parthenon that you can check out. The park itself is really great to go to in the Spring, Summer, & Fall months to have a picnic. During the weekends they'll often have live music & different festivals."
"A large Midtown park with a lake and various memorials and monuments. Its centerpiece is a full-scale replica of the Greek Parthenon that was first constructed for the Tennessee Centennial Expo in 1897. It houses a full-size replica of the long-lost Athena statue that once stood in the original in Athens along with contemporary American art in its lower galleries."
"Pretty park to walk around and the faux Parthenon is a fun spot. Parts of the park are under construction so a little less picturesque right now than it can be sometimes. Just be prepared. "
