"❤️ Visiting a thermal bath is a must-do while in Iceland.
😀 I’ve tried most of Iceland's thermal baths. And don't get me wrong—the world-famous Blue Lagoon is amazing, but my favourite is Sky Lagoon.
🚗 It’s a 15-minute drive from downtown Reykjavik.
👉 Or book a ticket that includes transportation.
⭐️ Strongly suggest you book before arriving in Iceland to ensure you get a ticket. See the link below.
😃 Don't hesitate to book the pricier ticket that includes their Seven Step Ritual.
💦 Start by relaxing in the lagoon's warm waters while taking in the stunning views.
🥶 Warning: The second step is a cold plunge. FYI, it’s optional but definitely invigorating!
👉 Then head into the turf house, where you'll enjoy the sauna, fronted by a massive window, the largest window in Iceland.
😇 The salt scrub is heaven.
👍 You're guaranteed to leave feeling relaxed.
☕️ And before you leave, indulge at their cafe and restaurant. You can have a sandwich, soup, or a coffee, or share one of their platters—local feasts that suit your eating style.
BEST TIMES TO VISIT:
☀️ At sunset, splurge on champagne or their rhubarb lemonade while you enjoy the views from the lagoon.
💎 Or visit when the Sky Lagoon first opens to enjoy the experience with fewer fellow travellers. But both times I've visited (winter and summer) have never found it too crowded.
⏰ HOURS: 9 am - 10 pm"

"Sky Lagoon is a scenic geothermal bathing experience rooted in Icelandic nature, culture and history. Located just minutes from Reykjavík's city centre, the oceanside lagoon offers stunning views of the North Atlantic, distant mountain peaks, towering glaciers and more. Unwind as you soak it all in from the infinity edge and settle into a state of bliss.
Over the centuries, Icelanders have developed a way to combine the healing powers of warm and cold water, dry heat, and fresh air. We use these natural elements throughout the Seven-Step Ritual, which includes a sauna, body scrub, cold mist and steam room. These traditions of invigoration and rejuvenation represent a distinct experience of healing rooted in heritage.
Sky Lagoon stays open throughout the year, providing a unique experience depending on when you visit. Discover the life and flora of spring, the golden glow of summer's Midnight Sun, dazzling sunsets and moody skies in fall or the unique wonder of an Icelandic winter. If you are lucky, the northern lights may even put on an enchanting show during our darker months. "

"The Sky Lagoon is a serene oasis that offers a unique seven-step ritual to promote relaxation and renewal. From the invigorating cold plunge to the mineral-rich geothermal waters, each step is designed to soothe the mind and body. Guests can also enjoy the waterfall and breathtaking views of the ocean from the infinity pool. It's an unforgettable experience!
My favorite part of the Sky Lagoon was that it felt like an adventure. The cold plunge was exhilarating and the views were stunning!
PS: The Sky Lagoon is heated to around 100 degrees (aka the average hot tub)
Transportation:
The Sky Lagoon is only around a 10 minute drive from Reykjavik. Have any hotel in the city call you a taxi. It should only cost around $15. Most taxis also use Apple Pay and tap pay so don't worry about bringing cash."
