"First time in Iceland? Consider Fiskfélagið for your first dinner in Reykjavík. Fish Company is centrally located in the Old Harbour. The entrance to the stone building, from 1884, is down a few steps. Once inside, you'll find wooden beams, dark-wood furniture, a red-lit bar, and bright pops of artwork. The chef/owner, as well as most of his staff, is Icelandic. While the menu lets you dive right into traditional Icelandic ingredients. Set menus include the three-course Fish Festival (lobster soup and the fish of the day), the four-course Around Iceland (cod, cured salmon, lamb, and skyr), and the five-course Gourmet Menu (ling, reindeer, and Nordic wasabi). The à la carte menu adds flavors from around the world. Despite its name, carnivores and vegans won't be disappointed here."

"Another recommendation for a nice fish dinner. Everything is so fresh, and when I was there they had set meal courses which was great to taste a little bit of everything."
