"One of the most hyped warungs in all of Bali, definitely must be Warung Local. Even though we have never been there in person, we only heard the best of it. You can either order your meal by card or, like originally, asemble your plate by choosing different dishes from the food counter, so that you can try lots of different things.
What we really appriciate about Warung Local, is the fact, that they do not waste any food; if there are any leftovers, they either will give it to their customers cheaper or to somebody who feeds his pigs with it, as crazy as i sounds!

"It might be an unpopular opinion to include this warung on the list, but I stand by my choice. Yes, this is the most expat-friendly warung on the island, and yes, the decor is somewhat unconventional for a warung. However, to me, the food is still good, fresh, and cheap. The fact that they're open all day and don't run out of food like other warungs after 3 pm is a big plus. As is the case in most warungs, approach the window display, choose what looks best to you, and don't forget to ask for their homemade sambal if you want to add some spice."
