Lake Titicaca
What people say
Taylor Blair
Available for hire
"Lake Titicaca is like something out of a dream—it's massive, sparkling blue, and feels like you’re at the top of the world (which you kind of are, at over 12,500 feet!). The lake is dotted with these incredible floating islands made entirely of reeds, home to the Uros people who’ve been living there for generations. Visiting the islands was such a unique experience; it’s like stepping into a totally different way of life. Then there’s Taquile Island, where the views are unreal and the locals still live by ancient traditions. Being on the lake feels peaceful and surreal, especially with the Andes surrounding you. It’s one of those places that sticks with you long after you leave."

"Literal tourist trap. They will not let you leave until you buy a souvenir, pay for a traditional boat ride, and then tip the driver. "
