Today, the city has been mostly reconstructed and has evolved into a colorful, and energetic city, reminiscent of a Polish-Amsterdam. While touristy, especially in nearby Sopot, you can still find lots of phenomenal cafes, bars, and restaurants throughout the city, at any hour of the day. Before you go, be sure to pick up some amber souvenirs as Gdańsk is the center of the world's amber trade.
