"This luxury spot is a splurge, but you can't beat the location in the heart of it all. It's a truly stunning hotel in a former Spanish baroque convent (of all things) with a sparkling pool. The staff is friendly and attentive and everything is simply impeccable. Rooms feature gorgeous antiques, beds, and armoires evocative of Mexico's past — all dark wood and traditional metalwork. But the mattresses and bedding are modern and very comfortable and the rooms offer many expected amenities (TVs, plush robes, quality bath products).
