Vágar Floghavn

What people say

Nally Preseault
"Vágar (FAE) is the only airport on the Faroe Islands. It was built by the British during World War II, abandoned until the 1960s, and finally extended to accommodate large aircraft about 20 years ago. Still, only a handful of flights arrive each day, and their landings are controlled by the fog. Expect easy security checks and long lines for car rentals. Then it takes about 45 minutes to drive to Tórshavn."
