"A must-visit when in Abisko is the Abisko Canyon. It is only a 30-minute walk from the Naturum. Just follow the yellow markings. The stunning canyon is one of the reasons why this area became a protected area. To further explore the national park, you can hike the red trail known as Vandringsstig Rihtunjira. This trail is only open during the summer. The trail initially follows the Rihtunjira creek and then ascends the NjullΓ  mountain. Once you reach the Aurora Sky Station, you can decide whether you want to continue hiking to the mountain peak. During the hike you'll have a fantastic view of Lapporten, the gateway to Lapland, and the iconic symbol of Abisko. The entire ascent takes about 2.5 hours and can be quite steep in some parts. If you feel exhausted afterward, you can simply take the chairlift down from the Aurora Sky Station. The chairlift operates only in summer. Please check the opening times in advance! "
" Link:https://www.sverigesnationalparker.se/en/choose-park---list/abisko-national-park/ Abisko is a fantastic location in winter for northern lights as it is easily accessible by train, has lots of facilities (including sauna) and easy trails to enjoy the few hours of daylight. It is by far the easiest and most family friendly northern lights experience of Sweden."
