"The Royal Pavilion, and surrounding gardens, also known as the Brighton Pavilion, is a Grade I listed former royal residence. Beginning in 1787, it was built in three stages as a seaside retreat for George, Prince of Wales, who became the Prince Regent in 1811, and King George IV in 1820.
The architects who designed this beautiful building had never been to India but used paintings of the Taj Mahal to create something of similar design. The interiors are just as magnificent as the exterior and reflect many Chinese elements, such as opulent silks and detailed dragon designs.
There are many secrets surrounding the Brighton Pavilion, all of which will be revealed during the tour. "

"The Royal Pavilion is a slightly odd looking building but its a must when you visit Brighton as its beautiful inside. Go inside and try to go early to avoid crowds.
The gardens surrounding the Pavilion are always beautiful and worth some time relaxing or if the weather allows to take a picnic.
When you're done go to the Museum around the corner which is really good. They've always got new exhibitions going on and its one of the better local museums I've seen in the UK. Once you buy a ticket its good for a year !
