"Once the royal palace of the Bourbon monarchy, the building now houses the library and a museum of Baroque costumes and furniture. The palace complex also houses the archives, so it is a place for tourists and scholars.
Piazza del Plebiscito
Surrounded on one side by the Naples royal palace and on the other by the church of San Francesco di Paola, the Piazza del Plebiscito sits at the heart of Naples and is the epitome of faded grandeur. This piazza is named for the plebiscite that joined the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies and the Italian State in 1860 and is filled with history. The church, commissioned in 1817 and designed as an homage to the Parthenon in Rome, is the scene's star.
Like the nearby Gran Caffè Gambrinus, the Piazza del Plebiscito is a place to see and be seen in Naples. Its expanse is often used for temporary public art and performances, but even when not employed as an exhibition space, this piazza is a work of art. Stroll the pedestrian streets, marvel at the impressive buildings, and admire the two imposing statues in front of the church, portraying Ferdinand I of Bourbon and Charles III of Bourbon on horseback.
In the evening, the passeggiata from the nearby Lungomare spills into the piazza. Teenagers, in particular, congregate here, and street vendors selling jewelry, selfie sticks, and cell phone cases will wander through the crowds.

"Located in one of my favorite piazzas in the city of Napoli- Piazza del Plebliscito is this amazing palace -the Royal Palace of Naples, also known as the Palazzo Reale. It was built in the 17th century as the residence of the Spanish Viceroys. The palace has over 1,200 rooms, making it one of the largest royal residences in the world. The palace was home to the Bourbon Kings of Naples from 1734 until the unification of Italy in 1861. The palace features a stunning Baroque façade and numerous frescoes and artworks throughout its interior. The palace also houses the National Library of Naples, which includes over 1.5 million volumes of books and manuscripts.
You have a choice of what to visit here- the apartments, the gardens, the rooftop. Check out the website for hours and prices because they may vary depending on when and what you want to visit.

"✏️ The Royal Palace of Naples was build in the 17th century and was the residence of the Bourbon Kings that ruled the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies. After the unification of Italy, it came into the possession of the royal princes of the House of Savoy. Today it is used as a museum, and some institutions occupy part of it, such as the National Library, Teatro di San Carlo and Teatrino di Corte.
