What people say

"A French patisserie and boulangerie in the heart of Trastevere and now also a short walk from Termini train station. Le Levain is a French style pastry shop serving the most incredible croissants, mini patisserie and many other traditional and innovative pastries and baked goods. Their first shop is in Trastevere, and is a small space with a whole range of delicacies to choose from. Their second and more recently opened shop is on Via Piave, and is more of a cafe. Here you will still have a great selection of sweet and savoury pastries. A significant difference between the two is that the latter serves handmade coffee, whilst the first shop has a self-serve coffee machine. Here I have eaten some of the best pastries I've ever had in Rome "
"Le Levain Roma is a French-style bakery (pasticceria boulangerie) located in Trastevere, Rome. They are known for their handcrafted breads, pastries, and cakes made with high-quality ingredients and sourdough starter (lievito madre)."
"Great artisanal bakery I went to a few mornings for breakfast. Their pastries are more French-style than classic Italian. Take note if you want an actual good croissant because those are not easy to find in Italy. "
