"🇬🇧 Little Venice is a picturesque and charming area in London, located where the Regent's Canal meets the Grand Union Canal in the borough of Westminster. Named after the famous Italian city known for its canals, Little Venice is characterized by its tranquil waterways, tree-lined streets, and beautiful canal boats. Visitors to Little Venice can enjoy leisurely walks along the canalside paths, admiring the colorful narrowboats and elegant Georgian and Victorian houses that line the water's edge. The area is also home to a variety of cafes, restaurants, and pubs, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing meal or drink with a view of the water. One of the highlights of Little Venice is the picturesque stretch of canal known as Browning's Pool, named after the poet Robert Browning, who lived nearby. Here, visitors can take a scenic boat trip along the canal or simply sit by the water's edge and watch the world go by. Throughout the year, Little Venice hosts a range of events and activities, including the annual Canalway Cavalcade, a colorful festival celebrating the waterways with boat parades, live music, and food stalls. "Tucked away in a quiet but beautiful part of London, this community feels like an escape to a different city with colourful boats (can you guess where the name comes from?) Explore the poetic Regent’s Canal, which runs from Little Venice to the Docklands and passes via London Zoo and Camden Town. the London Waterbus, which takes about 45 minutes to get from Little Venice to Camden Lock Market. Little Venice also has some of London’s most noteworthy independent theatre venues. Catch award-winning fringe and comedy at the Canal Café Theatre’s candlelight tables, or take in a production at the Puppet Theatre Barge, a real theatre on a canal barge."
"This is something you will never see in the TOP 10 places to visit in London but I totally disagree. This district in West London lies around the Regent’s Canal and it forms an amazing triangular shape basin sorrounded by stucco terraced town houses. Since it is a residential area, the atmosphere is calm and quiet. Nevertheless, the area is full or restaurants, shops, pubs and theatres so there is plenty of stuff to do there."
