"If you want to live a different experience than usual during your stay, all you have to do is head to one of the most sacred places of worship on the island: the Tirta Empul temple. This temple, built around 900, is still periodically frequented by the Hindu faithful, who go to this place of worship to purify themselves. The water that feeds the pools, in fact, comes from the sacred spring of Bali, and the faithful, proceeding from west to east, they pass with bowed heads and clasped hands under the 13 fountains present.
The site is also open to tourists (who, if they want to participate in the ceremony themselves, must request it at the entrance). A mystical and highly suggestive experience.
👣How to get there: it is located just 15 km away from Ubud (30 min by public transport).
🎟️Ticket cost: 15000 IDR (0,80€)."

"The Holy Spring Water temple, renowned for its purification rituals symbolizing a journey of spiritual rejuvenation and the cleansing of negative energies, has lost some of its magic due to its growing popularity over the past years. Despite its breathtaking beauty, the temple now attracts large crowds of tourists, diminishing its once sacred ambiance. While I still believe it is worth visiting it, it's crucial to arrive early to escape the crowds. Be prepared with a change of clothes as the experience involves getting wet, and consider wearing flip flops in public facilities. Keep in mind there is an entry fee, and it's mandatory to cover your body as a sign of respect. Check out the entire site, not only the main sacred pool "

"This is a very peaceful temple where locals take a dip in the pond for purification purposes. You can also join them if interested, but make sure you visit at least 1 hour before the temple closes because towards closing time they stop allowing tourists to enter the pond. A green sarong will be provided to everyone willing to take the dip and it's required to wear a swimsuit underneath the sarong. Don't forget to bring your own towel and a change of clothes for the best experience.
The temple's outskirts have a huge market where traditional handmade souvenirs are sold. It's a good alternative to the Ubud Art Market."
