"One of the most fun things to do in Cinque Terre is to explore the five villages (from West to East): Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore. The easiest way to do so is by train, the Cinque Terre Express. The train goes in and out of tunnels throughout the relatively quick journey and, due to the hilly geography of the area, it makes for a pretty remarkable ride. My recommendation is to purchase a daily Cinque Terre Pass, which grants unlimited rides. The cards can be purchased online (see links below) or at any of the Cinque Terre Welcome Centers (see link below). How to use the Card: The Card bears the user's full name and may not be used by others. Before using a card, the user's name (or the head of the family's name in case of family cards) must be written on the back. Cards must be shown to inspectors together with a valid identity document. Cards must be stamped at Trenitalia's stamping machines at the train station before taking the first train ride. Children under 4 years or age travel on the trains and use the Park services for free if accompanied by an adult in possession of a Card. ______ Tap on the link below for a full guide to hiking in Cinque Terre. Don’t hike the trails without reading this first! They might be harder than expected."

"TAKE THE TOUR! It is a very long day, but worth the travel and steps. This tour made me add a long stay at Cinque Terre to my bucket list. Vernazza, one of the villages located in Cinque Terre was the inspiration for the Disney movie “Luca.” There was A LOT of walking on this tour, about 8 miles (without the hike), so wear your walking shoes and bring water. We did climb the stairs (382 stairs or 33 flights) at Corniglia and that was a challenge for sure! They do give you the option of taking a shuttle instead of the stairs. We had a delicious lunch, I personally am not a fan of pesto, but goodness the pesto pasta was to die for. After all, this is the birthplace of Pesto alla Genovese. I highly recommend adding the lunch option. We were able to catch the boat on the way back and it was so lovely and a great way to rest. "

""Five lands" or in original Cinque Terre is an area that dates back to the 11th century and is composed by 5 villages: Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza, Monterosso. The landscape will take your breath... It's so picturesque that has been an inspiration to lots of artists, poets, painters. In the 1970s, an American travel writer was enchanted by the five hidden, charming villages at the edge of the cliff and wrote about the Cinque Terre in his guidebooks. Since then, many travellers enjoyed this part of Italy and fell in love with it. Cinque Terre has been proclaimed a UNESCO World Heritage site. "
