Two Week Italian Summer Itinerary 🇮🇹
✈️ DAY 1: ARRIVE IN ROME
Most likely, you will fly into Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci International Airport which is actually about a 25-30 minute drive to Rome's city center. There are a few ways to get to the city: taxi or train! 🚖🚊
🚖If you take a private taxi, it will cost around 50 euros. I would definitely book ahead of time if you plan to take a private car. If you are staying at a hotel or Airbnb, check with your host / concierge as they may have a company they use. Our Airbnb host booked a car for us ahead of time, but you can also check Tripadvisor link for more airport transfer recommendations. ⬇️
🚊If you want to save some money, taking the Leonardo Express Airport Train out of Fiumicino will be your best option! The trains are very clean, comfortable, and you can book tickets at any of their pay stations (see first photo below). You'll want to to select Roma Termini as your destination using Trenitalia. Tickets cost around 15 euro for a one-way. **YOU MUST HAVE A TICKET OR YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY A CASH FINE.
